We've been teaching musicians and artists for the past 30 years.
Coda Music School was founded in Longueuil, QC in 1993, where it grew for 20 years on Sainte-Hélène street and almost four years in the Estuary. Since 2007, Coda has opened a second school to serve clientele in and around Ville Saint-Laurent. It is located on Thimens Blvd near the Bois Franc district.
Over the years, Coda has always maintained a reputation of offering quality lessons given by experienced teachers. Their courses are adapted to the needs of each individual student, be they: development, learning, discipline, personal culture, pleasure, well-being or challenges. With individualized courses, Coda is there for you, regardless of your age or your musical level.
A tax receipt is available for students under age 16. Furthermore, Coda is an educational institution recognized by Revenue Québec (accreditation number 14-07-0160), that permits music professionals to deduct their expenses related to the development of their art and practice

Coda offers courses for everyone from 7 to 77 years and from all skill levels.
We adapt to the student's goals and can offer lessons in both popular and classical music.
The students will have the opportunity to play in concerts twice a year on a voluntary basis.
Benoît Robitaille received his PhD in composition from Université de Montréal. After his studies, he returned to the guitar, a joy he has cultivated since youth, which he now shares with his students who span all levels of development. His musical background allows him to venture into multiple styles and cultures.
Tanya is currently in leave and will be back in September 2021. Having begun her musical studies at the age of four, Tanya has been surrounded by classical music since her early childhood. She was nominated for musician of the year at her high school graduation at Place-des-Arts in Montreal, Quebec. As a pianist, Tanya studies with many influential piano pedagogues on the Montreal piano circuit. Moreover, she has also played in piano masterclasses for Suzanne Goyette and Loraine Prieur. As a teenager, Tanya won 1st prize at many classical piano competitions in Montreal. Loving both piano and violin, Tanya decides to focus on her violin studies when she completes her collegial studies with great success in classical violin under the tutelage of famed violinist Vladimir Landsman at the École de Musique Vincent-D'Indy in Outremont, Quebec.
In 2009, Tanya completes her Bachelor's degree in Music at Université de Montréal. After completing her bachelor's degree, she is admitted to the Graduate Diploma of Advanced Performance Studies at Concordia University in Montreal which she completes with great success in 2011. At Concordia University, Tanya had the privilege of studying classical violin performance under the late Yaela Hertz. Tanya recently completed her Master's Degree in Music in violin performance at the University of Akron in Ohio with great success. Through the years, she has also developed an affinity for the viola.
She also holds a Certificate in Leadership from Concordia University which she was pursuing while attending the University for the Graduate Music Performance Program.
Parallel to her concerts and teaching, Tanya is regularly invited to perform alongside contemporary musicians of the Quebec and Canadian scene.
Julieta Cervantes is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. In 2019, she obtained a jazz voice bachelor of music diploma in addition to a minor in music education from McGill University.
Born in Montreal, she started to play piano when she was three years old. She also received a formal musical training at FACE elementary school where she learned violin, flute, choir and music theory among many other things. Later on, Julieta had the opportunity to continue her musical studies in Mexico under the supervision of teachers such as Svetlana Logounova and Alejandro Mercado. While in Mexico, she was able to work as a piano, violin and voice teacher acquiring international working experience. Working with children made her develop an interest in children’s psychology and in 2014, she obtained a certificate in Gestalt Therapy (Children’s Behaviour concentration) from the Instituto Mexicano de Psicoterapia Gestalt.
When she returned to Montreal, Julieta studied voice with Bohdanna Novak and Anja Strauss as well as choral conducting under the supervision of Patricia Abbott. Now, she is actively involved in the Montreal’s Choral scene. She is currently a member of the OPCM choir which led her to be a chorister for international artists such as Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman as well as doing shows such as Lord of the Rings in Concert. In the past, she was a member of choirs such as the Chorale du Gesù, McGill’s University Chorus and McGill Jazz Choir (where she had the opportunity to share the stage with recognised musicians such as Theo Bleckmann).
Ariane has a passion for music, art and history. She has been playing the piano since the age of ten, played classical and electric guitar during her five years of high school and graduated in Jazz singing at Cégep de Saint-Laurent. During this three-year journey she excelled in music theory, jazz improvisation, harmony and the analysis of pieces.
She is a versatile artist in many styles including jazz, blues, funk, rock, pop and "Latin rhythms" such as samba and bossa nova. She has performed many concerts, solo and in groups. Accompanied in particular by the jazz pianist and composer Marianne Trudel during a show at the House of Culture Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie.
Ariane will take great pleasure in helping you learn and discover music.
Simone Dumoulin started playing the piano at the age of 8 and continues to this day. In 2016, she played at Carnegie Hall during the Crescendo Competition. She started singing and composing at the age of 12. She obtained her DCS in jazz piano at Cégep St-Laurent, did an appearance at La Voix, and published her first EP in 2020. She performs her own compositions in Montreal and teaches the piano since 2019.
